IT Asset Management (ITAM) Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven IT Asset Management (ITAM) Engineer to manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets across the organization and customer environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IT asset inventory management, procurement coordination, software license management, asset tracking, audits, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, firewalls, software licenses, peripherals, and cloud assets.
• Manage the complete asset lifecycle from procurement and deployment to maintenance, transfer, and disposal.
• Track asset allocation, movement, warranty status, AMC/contract details, and ownership records.
• Perform periodic physical and logical asset audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, HR, and technical teams for onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Maintain software license inventory and monitor license compliance and renewals.
• Generate ITAM reports, dashboards, audit reports, and management MIS.
• Support CMDB updates and integration with ITSM tools.
• Ensure adherence to IT asset policies, security guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare asset-related SOPs, process documents, and audit evidence.

Requirements

• ITIL Foundation
• ITAM Foundation / IAITAM Certification
• ServiceNow HAM / SAM Certification (Preferred)
• GLPI / Teclib Certification (Preferred)
• Educational Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
